Located in beautiful rolling Piedmont Rowan Countryside, Cities and historic Downtowns, this NC Getaway Weekend has something special for everyone! Whether you are a local or visiting for the weekend, this is the perfect destination for personal leisure and cultural indulgence!
Walk to almost everything! Pick your favorites, set your pace, wander from place to place or sit and soak it all in. With so much to choose from, you can plan ahead or let inspiration rule. It's fun, your way! Most Events are FREE!

FESTIVAL of MUSIC

Authentic Salisbury Bar-B-Que, grab a real Country Ham biscuit or fresh
organic fare from a Market. Have "Lunch with Authors".

FESTIVAL of ART
Check out an art show then wonder though Rail Walk
and artist Galleries. Take in the Waterworks outstanding exhibits.
See undiscovered student displays, tour Gallery Open Houses,
see new City Sculpture and much more.
FESTIVAL of LITERATURE
Authors, Poets & Professors share open readings. Book signings
Special display of local authors. Cheese & Carolina Wine
tasting. Check your roots and get a book. Open Houses at bookstores
will get your creative juices flowing! Maybe have a Gourmet Lunch with the Authors!
FESTIVAL of BAR-B-QUE
It started in Salisbury! That special way of cooking that is
famous thru out the South. That special sauce, Hickory smoked
pork and cooking secrets known only to a few. Second annual all day event!
